History Club
Department of History, Synod College
Motto:”We Struggle, we win”
The History Club has its own written Constitution, wherein the office bearers and the Executive committee have to abide by the rules and norms prescribed. The aims and objectives of the History Club are to bring together history enthusiasts from across the campus community to pursue activities reflecting our common interest. The Club is also a location for History majors to network with their peers and professors. The History Club acknowledges its special relationship with the History Department, and seeks to more fully integrate students into the Department and encourage them to take advantage of all the opportunities there. Finally, the History Club is committed to working on projects in the community that can further historical or cultural study
Science Club
The Synod College Students Science Club is one of the students clubs in the College. It was started in the year 2010. All students of the College, particularly those who are from the science streams, can join this Club. The office bearers of this Club are elected from among the student members of this Club. The Principal nominates staff advisers to this Club.
Aims and Objectives:
- 1. The Club shall be a non-profit making, non-political, non-governmental organization (NGO) comprising the students from the College and to function solely under the supervision of the Synod College authority.
- 2. The Club shall strive to create a scientific temper within the students and to guide them with respect to their future academic plans and make them aware about the R&D in science.
Synod College Student`s Council
The Synod College Students` Council is the only recognised students` association in the College. It is an elected body of Class Representatives. The office bearers are elected from among these Representatives.
The objectives of the Association are:
- 1. To foster the growth of good relation and understanding among the students and members of the College.
- 2. To formulate and execute the cu-curricular activities of the College.
- 3. To look after the welfare of the students and of the College.
- 4. To look into and address the grievances of the students which may arise from time to time.

(i) The SCSC will function as per its constitution as approved by the Governing Body of the College.
(ii) The Office Bearers of the Council shall consist of students to be elected from among the respective Class Representatives and will work together with the Staff In-Charge and members of the SCSC.

The Editorial Board will be responsible for the publication of the annual College Magazine.

Gym Club

All students of the College, particularly those who are interested in music, can join this Club. The office bearers of this Club are elected from among the student members of this Club. Students Environment Club
The Synod College Students Environment Club is one of the students clubs in the College. It was started in the year 2010. All students of the College, particularly those who are concern about the environment, can join this Club. The office bearers of this Club are elected from among the student members of this Club. The Principal nominates staff advisers to this Club.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
- 1. The Club shall be a non-profit making, non-political, non-governmental organization (NGO) comprising the students from the College and to function solely under the supervision of the Synod College authority.
- 2. The Club shall strive to create environmental awareness amongst the students community and the society at large. The Club shall also focus its effort in promoting positive and healthy environmental ethics amongst all within and beyond the College premises. The Club shall undertake, offer support, advice, suggest, any similar minded organizations and take part in the various activities related to environmental development, preservation, conservation, and fight against all forms of environmental pollution when ever called for.
Thrift & Credit Society
Synod College Employees` Cooperative Thrift & Credit Society Limited (SCECS)
This society was established in the year 1991 with the purpose of encouraging a positive attitude of thrift and saving while simultaneously advancing loans to all its members at very nominal terms and conditions.
The basic objectives of the society are:
- 1. To encourage thrift, self-help, co-operation among the members.
- 2. To encourage members to save by receiving monthly contributions from them by deductions from their pay.
- 3. To create funds, to make advances to the members of the society.
- 4. To invest money in some profitable concern for the benefit of the members.
- 5. To secure suitable benefits for the members and their families in distress.
- 6. To do all such other acts as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives.
